Following the utterances and activities of the Kinshasa regime’s representatives in North Kivu, the world will wonder whether these people have gone completely insane. They certainly are hallucinating, if not suffering from some kind of anxiety disorder.

During the provincial security committee meeting this week, the military governor of North Kivu told his audience that the intelligence had “uncovered two important threats to national security: Rwandan spies wielding Congolese voters card at the common border!” He added an imaginative story about “agitation” by the M23 Movement, after Tshisekedi announced that his regime would not be adhering to the Luanda and Bujumbura Summits recommendations for dialogue.”

However, these “revelations” of fanciful “intelligence discoveries” did not end at the provincial security meeting. They have since also “discovered” that the M23 has started taking over territories they had previously handed over to the EACRF; including the areas occupied by the Burundi contingent, whom Tshisekedi praised as “the only contingent” adhering to the plan.

The Congolese intelligence’s latest so-called discoveries are even more ludicrous, alleging that “a Rwandan air force helicopter had landed in Kibumba!” This time, this news was announced by none other than Christopher Lutundula, the Tshisekedi regime’s foreign minister during their national security meeting yesterday.

These attempts to create fictitious events by the Kinshasa regime are the clearest symptoms of despair. You see, the Kinshasa regime is not getting the reaction they want, despite their numerous scatterbrained provocations.

Their only option currently is to create fictitious events, hoping someone will believe them.
