After accidentally landing in the highest office in DRC, Matonge (Brussels) man Felix Tshisekedi had one mission in his first term: secure a second mandate. But now after rigging his way to the second term under the cover of a war he provoked, he is using all peace initiatives to seek an illegal third term.
Tshisekedi’s sycophants have begun the claim that “constitutional reforms” are required – supposedly for peace in the eastern provinces of DRC.
Tragically, after thousands of deaths, Tshisekedi will not give peace a chance, unless he obtains a fraudulent third term (which can only be attained through a rigged process). Sources indicate that Tshisekedi favours a so-called transitional government of national unity “derived from inter-congolese talks or a constitutional referendum.” What a crock of liars! They would be more honest to straight up entrench themselves.
The pathological liar Tshilombo will go to Amy lengths – of which stoking endless conflict, just to claim “elections cannot be organized in eastern provinces.”
With the next general elections set in 2028, Felix Tshisekedi Tshilombo knows that time is running out for him, hence the desperate maneuvers to stay in power. Under his rule, DR Congo has sank in all metrics making it impossible to hold a referendum within reasonable time.
Experts estimate that any national poll requires at least a year of planning and difficult logistics implementation. A referendum and a Presidential poll, in this case, means that the process must start in this year, 2026, if Tshisekedi is to circumvent a 2028 deadline.
For a brutal and corrupt regime like Kinshasa, staying in power is a life and death matter. Already, Tshisekedi has almost thirty Generals, jailed for simply refusing his supremacy above their sworn constitutional duties. The Congolese dictator is also rearming at an a rapid rate, despite public commitments to peace.
In reality, from the day he stumbled into power, Tshisekedi has only been trying to entrench himself. Unable to govern, he opted for division and conspiracies to create chaos. The next chapter in Congo will be the same as before. The question is, what amount of chaos will Tshisekedi unleash – this time around – to cling on?
