Congolese ruler Tshisekedi has been fuming through the ears ever since the EAC Summit convened in Bujumbura.
Things are not going according to his criminal plots (of massacring innocent Congolese citizens of Tutsi ethnicity). Now, the Tshisekedi regime is showing that the only option left for it is to quit any pretenses, and storming out of the EAC rather than implementing the EAC-led peace framework.
Tshisekedi has tried all tricks to avoid peace, including misrepresenting the outcomes of all the meetings convened as part of efforts to find peace for DRC. The Kinshasa regime tried to manipulate the outcomes of the Luanda Summits as well as the mini-summit that came after.
They did the same with the recent EAC Summit in Bujumbura, all in an effort to mislead the Congolese people into rejecting peace and make them see those trying to bring them peace as the aggressors.
Unfortunately for the Kinshasa regime, the EAC leaders, who have the backing of the international community, have been monitoring the regime’s evil shenanigans, which is the reason they came up with foolproof recommendations during the Bujumbura Summit.
The Bujumbura EAC Summit recommendations have made it clear that the FARDC and their armed groups’ allies including FDLR must cease hostiles immediately.
In order to deny the Kinshasa regime the juvenile blame games concerning ceasefire violations, the EAC Summit recommended that an EAC EVM be created to specifically monitor ceasefire violations and report the findings to the EAC secretariat in real time.
Tshisekedi is cornered since the Bujumbura Summit recommendations are designed like a smoke alarm that will detect any monkey business by his regime. Now Tshisekedi has only two options; to exit the EAC and ICGLR peace frameworks, or comply.
