Goma has not fallen and it will not fall.“, Tshisekedi remarked during the now famous event held at the Kinshasa presidential offices dubbed “Tshisekedi interviews Tshisekedi”.
The dramatic event which was meant to look like a ‘one-on-one’ press interview ended up becoming yet another confirmation that Tshisekedi is an old man trapped in the mind of a toddler.
More than anything else, the ‘interview’ exposed Tshisekedi’s utter despair in the face of heightened awakening of the Congolese people.
Tshisekedi ascended to the presidency through fraud and to win the trust of the Congolese, promised heaven on earth- turning the civil war-hit country into a “Germany of Africa” but all he has delivered is pure hell from the onset of his tenure due to his gross incompetence
First and foremost, the conflict in the east of the DRC has escalated, with armed groups shooting from more than 130 to more than 266! His mismanagement of the previous agreements with the M23 Movement led to the resurgence of their military campaign, which has resulted in the humiliation of the FARDC.
Out of desperation, Tshisekedi made a bad situation worse by incorporating FDLR, perpetrators of the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, and other terrorist armed groups like Mai-Mai, Nyatura, CODECO, PARECO, APCLS and others as allies of the national army.
But despite all these desperate efforts on the part of Tshisekedi, including the hiring of mercenaries from Europe, Tshisekedi has failed to deliver a single military victory to the Congolese people as he has promised.
But Tshisekedi gave away his despair and the dawn of reality when he departed from his usual chest thumping and cries of war, commenting that he “favors a diplomatic approach to solving security problems in the DRC, while the recourse to war is considered an option of last resort.”
With the dry smile of shame, Tshisekedi lectured the Congolese people on “the importance of trust in the authorities and shunning of pessimistic predictions.”
