A number of countries at the UN Security Council yesterday poured cold water on DRC president Tshisekedi’s evil slanders against Rwanda.
Since last week Tshisekedi has been lobbying at the UNSC, for extraordinary sitting to deliberate on the situation in the Eastern DRC as M23 was closing in on the city of Goma. And the Kinshasa regime head of course was throwing tantrums, like a toddler, demanding the world sanction Rwanda.
Just yesterday, Tshilombo thought he would receive support for his childish wishes, from sitting members of the UNSC. But the Matonge fool was shocked when his expectations were quickly dashed, as member countries responded coldly.
Tshisekedi through his Foreign Affairs Minister Therese Kayikwamba Wagner had wanted a UNSC “adoption of condemnation and sanctions against Rwanda”, but she hit a brick wall.
While France maintained its stance on resolving the issue politically, the UK and Russia emphasized the need for a humanitarian corridor, pushed for the Luanda process as a solution, while the US and Denmark reiterated their usual platitudes about “withdrawal of M23” (without even saying where said M23 should go).
No member state raised a sanction motion, and the atmosphere in the UNSC was one of caution, rather than support for Tshisekedi’s toddler demands.
From the look of things the ruler of Kinshasa is desperate, his political life hanging by a thread. He is now banking on the promises of South Africa to reinforce his weakened army, but that’s just too comical. Imagine the blundering, incompetent Ramaphosa and his cabinet of bloated tomatoes – what can those fellows rescue, except their meals!
Tshilombo should come back to his senses (if he has any, anyway) swallow his lousy pride, and go meet his daddies M23 to listen to what they have to tell him.
Failure to do so, he will get his massive behind kicked again.
