The kleptocratic dictatorship in Burundi has been busy evaluating the damage caused by its misadventures in Congo.
For suitcases of dollars (delivered in secrecy at Bujumbura Airport) Burundian president Evariste Ndayishimiye aka Gen. Neva has rented out more than 20,000 soldiers to Congolese President Felix Tshisekedi. But they received hellfire, and more than a quarter came back in body bags!, Whole companies of soldiers also are still missing!
Burundi mixing itself in Congo affairs has exposed serious weakness in the Burundian Army.
“They are all talk but no action!” a security analyst laughed. “That’s nothing but a militia but called an army; it is also fragmented and lacks leadership.” The analyst is talking facts going by the terrible beatings Ndayishimiye troops suffered from M23.
But then Ndayishimiye’s patron Tshisekedi is using his officers as mouthpieces, to blame Tutsis in the Burundian army.
Ndayishimiye is glad to blame the Tutsis because he shares his patron’s genocide ideology. On his part he blames Tutsis in the Congolese army, while their FDLR genocidaires ally blame both Congolese and Burundian Tutsis regardless of their citizenship.
It’s a convergence of genocidaires who most certainly will pay for their evil (acts and character).
Sources in CNDD-FDD reveal that Ndayishimiye will now embark on a policy to integrate FDLR and Wazalendo (Congolese militias) in the Burundian army. “There will be no more pretending in 2026. FNDB (Burundi’s army) will be Hutu only, no more Tutsis. We will take in Hutus from other countries if needs be, we know Tutsis betrayed us in Congo!” a senior CNDD-FDD official brayed, publicly.
The scheme to integrate FDLR in the Burundian army will naturally be sponsored by Tshisekedi, since Burundi is currently bankrupt.
Ndayishimiye and his cronies in CNDD-FDD are desperate for some “face-saving” and it will inevitably end in a witch-hunt against Tutsis. As usual, a minority group will be used to create a diversion.
The stunt to integrate FDLR into the Burundi army is one of the major causes of conflict in DRC Congo. That will not stop a blundering, hate filled tribalist like Gen. Neva.
On the other hand, with almost 5000 dead and missing soldiers, he has no other options but to launch a witch-hunt, as he hoodwinks Burundi as to why he is integrating foreigners like the genocidal FDLR and Wazalendo in the Burundi military.
