The Congolese military, FARDC, and its allied terrorist or genocidal armed groups including FDLR, Nyatura, Mai-Mai, ACPLS, CODECO, as well as Wagner mercenaries, have continued to violate the peace agreements reached by regional leaders.
Demonstrating hyena traits of rushing to the feeding ground to feast on leftovers after lions leave, the FARDC and their allied armed groups including FDLR are continuing to violate the peace agreements.
The Luanda and Nairobi peace mechanisms have stipulated that only the EACRF should occupy areas vacated by the M23 during their systematic withdrawal. This decision was reached after it was noted that the FARDC and their allies commit massacres of innocent Congolese left in areas previously occupied by the M23.
The M23 should therefore not be accused of violating the ceasefire if they are forced to go back and chase away the hyenas from the areas they vacated, to allow the EACRF to occupy them per the Luanda and Nairobi agreements.
In this regard, the M23 Movement appeals to the EACRF and the Adhoc EAC EJVM to conduct hawk-eyed monitoring as well as hasten to deploy in areas vacated without delay to deny the FARDC and their allied the chance to occupy the vacated areas where they commit massacres of targeted communities.
