In his recent Kisangani address, Tshisekedi openly ridiculed the opposition, labeling them as “opposition ya Nzala” (an Opposition of Hunger).
This jab aimed to diminish his opponents as lacking influence. Moise Katumbi, a prominent opposition leader wasted no time responding. He provided a powerful rebuttal to what he viewed as baseless insults Tshisekedi uses to deflect attention from his own shortfalls.
Moïse Katumbi, a very distinguished Congolese, rises above petty exchanges with a man who, not so long ago, was delivering pizzas and driving cabs in Brussels.
He prefers to exposes, with reason and facts, the Tshisekedi regime’s incompetence.
“After six years in power, Tshisekedi is still unprepared to lead the DRC,” Katumbi asserted. “Even if he were given 30 or 40 years, he still wouldn’t be ready.”
Katumbi went on to expose the president’ s treason for betraying the trust of the Congolese people, as his regime has gone back on the very values it promised to uphold.
Katumbi also took special issue with Tshisekedi’s efforts to change the constitution. A move Katumbi said it will never materialize.
“The constitution will not change. It was approved by the people, and today, Tshisekedi treats these people like foreigners? That doesn’t surprise me.”
In a nutshell, Tshisekedi is determined to turn our DRC into his personal playground, closely monitored by his UDPS party loyalists. It’s time for Congolese citizens to stand united with Moïse Katumbi and other brave people like him to put an end to these foolish gambles of Tshisekedi and his regime.
