World governing bodies and powerful nations including the AU, EU, US, UK, EAC, SADC, and ICGLR have prescribed negotiations between the Kinshasa regime and the M23 Movement as the only viable remedy to cure both the disease and symptoms of the conflict in eastern Congo. Apparently, Tshisekedi and his cronies are not in agreement with this global prescription, but they have decided to pretend they do (while heading in the opposite direction!)
Tshisekedi continues to bank on selling the completely discredited “Rwanda aggression” theory to the international community, so that he can continue benefitting from the sympathy he derives from the lethargic and apathetic attitude of the international community regarding the eastern DRC conflict.
Even though Tshisekedi knows that the international community advocates for dialogue, he still believes that he can play his games of distraction: by his broken-record, baseless accusations of Rwanda, to buy time while sabotaging the upcoming elections in DRC. That in fact is the entire goal of his capricious acts.
Tshisekedi calculates that by the time the world realizes he has been taking them for a ride, it would be too late for anyone to ask him to hold the elections within the previously scheduled time frame. And like that, he will survive the humiliation of being bundled out of power!
However, it is becoming apparent that his plan is being overtaken by events, as his evil coalition of FARDC, FDLR, Mai-Mai, Nyatura, PARECO, APCLS, and others are starting to go berserk and have resorted to acts of genocide thereby quickly invalidating his “foreign invasion” theory.
The UN genocide prevention agency has stated categorically that the coalition supported by the Kinshasa regime is committing acts of genocide, and the M23 has been vindicated, that their intervention from the onset has been to protect Kinyarwanda-speaking communities who have been persecuted and massacred by the Kinshasa regime. Now that the Kinshasa regime is starting to panic, Tshisekedi is acting desperate, as demonstrated by a leaked phone conversation where he was asking his commander in the east to link him directly to the FDLR Commander, Omega.
Going Tshisekedi’s desperate behavior resulting from his exposure, he is proving potentially dangerous not only for his people but for regional security.
