Tshisekedi’s led Kinshasa regime together with its allied armed terrorist groups of the FDLR, APCLS, CODECO, Mai-Mai and Nyatura under the umbrealla of “self-defense” outfit Wazalendo have been implicated in a series of heinous crimes involving the killing of Congolese citizens of ethnic Tutsi.
Many of Congolese from the Banyamulenge tribe continue to complain about the various deaths and brutality they are being subjected to by the Wazalendo militias. Tutsi communities are the only ones targeted after being lebeled “enemies of the state” by Tshisekedi, the same man who took an extreme position to sabotage all peace processes meant to defuse the crisis and restore peace in the eastern part of the country.
Karaha Karumbuza, a Munyamulenge Congolese is the latest victim of Tshisekedi’s onslaught against Tutsis. Karaha was gruesomely murdered by Wazalendo militias armed with crude weapons in the city of Kalemi. To every body’s surprise, the regime forces-FARDC was in presence and couldn’t defend the poor man just because of his ethnicity and tribe.
The incident followed another murder of a Munyamulenge, who was beaten to a pulp then killed and had his cattle confiscated by the same Tshisekedi backed ruthless Wazalendo. This is another testament of a well-orchestrated plan to commit a silent genocide against Tutsi Congolese whom the M23 Movement has been relentless fighting to protect.
The International attention was drawn to the ongoing genocide against Congolese Tutsi by the United Nations Genocide Prevention Office and scores of global leaders but the International Community is yet to take a decisive action against Tshisekedi.
As the world watches the wheels of justice turn, it is our collective duty to remember the victims, support the survivors, and hope that one day Tshisekedi and his genocidal allies will be held to account for their horrendous crimes committed against Congolese Tutsis.
