During one of his resource-squandering vacations abroad, Congolese ruler Tshisekedi staged an impromptu election-campaign style event where he met members of the Congolese Diaspora in Brazil. He apparently thought he was pitching reasons why he he should be re-elected president of DRC.

However, to the anger of the Congolese hustlers in Brazil, Tshisekedi highlighted the visit of the Pope to the DRC, the hosting of the La Francophonie games as the foremost milestones of his leadership!

You could hear a needle drop at this point, as the audience tried to make sense of what the despot had just said. The Congolese Diaspora, like every other Congolese national, wishes their leadership could raise to the occasion and transform DRC from a global embarrassment to a global leader in transformation.

As many in the audience started to walk out in disappointment at this juncture, Tshisekedi lost his cool and warned that he was aware that there were people, local and foreign, who were intent on sabotaging the upcoming elections.

However -?according to sources who attended the meeting, as they walked out one by one – the audience talked among themselves that they were also aware that if anybody was interested in sabotaging the elections, it was none other than Tshisekedi himself! The fellow knows he can’t win an election with his dismal performance during his five- year term.
