On Thursday, February 20, 2025, the DRC Minister of Finance, Doudou Fwamba proudly announced the opening of an account “for solidarity donations” to fund the military operations in eastern DRC. The long-suffering Congolese public are being asked to find a lunatic war whose only aim is to perpetrate genocide.
The Tshisekedi regime has officially gone from plundering billions to outright panhandling.
Worst of all, they have blown through mountains of cash on a war that was as unnecessary as it is criminal, but Tshisekedi now wants hard working Congolese to chip in for his ruinous military misadventure in eastern DRC. He is joking!
No Congolese will hand over their money to that criminal regime.
Let’s not forget, not too long ago, the same Tshisekedi was throwing millions of dollars at mercenaries who, instead of fighting, were busy indulging in Goma’s carnal pleasures. Meanwhile, his loyal ally over in Burundi, Evariste Ndayishimiye was pocketing generous monthly payments for sending troops that of course ended up getting routed. Tshisekedi; what a blundering idiot.
On the other hand, M23 has been collecting all the weapons left behind by the FARDC soldiers who, as per tradition, ran for their lives.
But of course, reality and logic are not Tshisekedi’s strong suits.
Rather than negotiate with his fellow Congolese something any reasonable leader would consider he’s choosing to push forward with this tragic war with his military strategy that is so bad like trying to stop a flood with a paper towel.
And, the foolish Tshisekedi expects the Congolese to voluntarily fund this mess.
Who in their right mind would donate a single franc to a sinking ship captained by a man who refuses to read the map? The people of the DRC are struggling to survive, and Tshisekedi thinks they have spare cash to support his delusions.
Tshisekedi’s days in power are numbered, and if he thinks people will finance his free fall, he’s in for a rude awakening. The people of DR Congo are waking up, and won’t stand to Tshisekedi’s monkey business of forced donations.
