Tshisekedi’s failed regime has been spreading all sorts of lies that the M23 Revolutionary Movement has blocked roads liking Goma and other territories, which disrupted the supply chain in the Eastern part of the country. To debunk the regime falsehoods, the M23 issued a statement calling upon traders to resume their activities along Goma, Rutshuru, Kitchanga and other areas under its control.
Few days ago, North Kivu Governor- Lieutenant General Constant Ndima issued a Memo blocking traders from procuring goods in territories between Goma and other territories under control of M23. He further announced serious repercussions on any person who will be caught violating the restrictions. But the Governor is depriving citizens of their rights to do business.
Just yesterday, the inept regime forces-FARDC together with its genocidal allies, namely FDLR, PARECO, Mai-Mai, APCLS and Wagner group, ambushed and murdered, in cold blood, a truck driver who commuted between Goma and other areas of the Norther Kivu Province. He was murdered as part of the ongoing campaign to discourage citizens from accessing M23 controlled areas.
In a communique released by M23 on Tuesday, it was clarified that the revolutionary movement is not interested in blocking routes connecting Goma and the areas under its control. In fact, according to traders in areas of Bunagana, Rutshuru and Kitchanga trucks and cargo drivers used to be blocked by regime corrupt officials in search for bribes; but now the roads are clear of such rogue agents, people and goods are moving freely.
Amidst all these developments in the Eastern DRC; M23 remains firm on its motive and goals, including fighting for their survival, rescue of innocent Congolese Tutsi who are subjected to the ongoing genocide, discrimination, and other sorts of persecution.
The movement is equally committed to regional peace frameworks including a strict ceasefire, an orderly and sequenced withdrawal from its occupied territories.
