Like a gossipy old woman, Tshisekedi has been backbiting the East African Regional Force (EACRF) at low-profile forums, instead of raising his grievances with counterparts at the right forum as a head of state. Tshisekedi has always been politically and diplomatically reckless in his utterances, but he hit an all-time low when he visited the Congolese community in China. Desperate to legitimize his stolen tenure as he struggles to seek acceptance in the face of another humiliating defeat at the ballot in December this year, it is apparent that Tshisekedi has lost control of his cognitive process.
There is no other reasonable way to explain Tshisekedi’s accusations that Rwanda is responsible for being behind the Teke-Yaka conflict in Greater Bandundu?! The inter-ethnic conflict is happening thousands of miles away, right on the outskirts of Kinshasa, where the Mobondo militia are said to be causing conflict in Kwango and Mai-Ndombe and the province of Kongo-Central. After realizing his accusations against Rwanda of supporting the M23 rebels, whose cause indicts his incompetent leadership, he is now pushing the envelope, but in his desperate state, he fails to see that he is making a fool of himself in the process.
But what should worry the world and the region in particular, is his utterances concerning what he is planning against Rwanda and the region by extension. Without mincing words, Tshisekedi said that he was not “letting it go and that he had put in place an action plan “beyond whining” and that he had “decided to act this time, and act intelligently.” “We did not want to make epidermal reactions which would give them (Rwanda) the opportunity to surf on it and thus display themselves as victims of hatred and relentlessness”, he said before an audience of Congolese Chinese Diaspora.
To reveal his sinister motives against the region, Tshisekedi told the Congolese community that the East African Community contingents in eastern DRC, except for the Burundi troops, were not doing what they went to do in DRC. In his inverted logic, Tshisekedi, who led his country into the community and should be aware of the mandate given to the EACRF, is supposed to act as his militia to fight the M23. As one of the EAC leaders, Tshisekedi is supposed to raise his concerns about the EACRF mandate at the EAC Summit, not at random side meetings with the Congolese Diaspora. But why am I not surprised?
